Masters of Education is a two year graduate program designed with the purpose of providing the country with skilled manpower in the field of education. M.Ed. includes professional (core) courses and specialization courses (majors). One of the majors available in M. Ed. is Mathematics Education. This course is designed for those who are interested in enhancing their skills in Mathematics and teaching.
Objectives
As mentioned above M.Ed. course is designed to produce skilled power in the field of education. The objectives of this specific course are:

Where is this program available
M. Ed. in Mathematics Education is currently available in T.U. and two of its affiliated colleges. Those two colleges are under the Faculty of Education (FoE) at T.U.
Course Structure
M. Ed. program primarily has two course areas. They are, Professional (Core Course) and Specialization (major). The core courses are compulsory for all the students studying the M.Ed. program. There is also an elective course, which is also a part of the course structure.

This course area includes:

- Psychology in the Classroom
- Curriculum Planning and Practices
- Measurements and Evaluation
- Research Methodology
- Teaching Practice
- Specialization Course, includes thesis writing

Annual System
In the annual system of T.U., these are some of the courses and the marks allocated to those courses.
First Year
Professional (Core Course),includes teaching and practice/practicum: 250 marks
- Foundation of Education: 100 marks
- Psychology in the Classroom: 50 marks
- Curriculum Planning and Practices: 50 marks
Specialization Course, includes thesis writing: 300 marks

Second year
Professional (Core Course), includes teaching and practice/practicum: 150 marks
- Measurements and Evaluation: 50 marks

Semester System
Semester System in T.U. has courses with varying credit hours and each credit hour is equivalent to 16 classroom lectures. Majority of the papers are of 3 credit hours.
First semester
Professional (Core Course): 9 credit hours
Specialization Course: 12 credit hours
Total: 18 credit hours
Second semester
Professional (Core Course): 6 credit hours
Specialization Course: 12 credit hours

Third semester

Entry Requirements
To get an admission into this specific course, you need to meet the requirements mentioned below.
- Degree in Bachelor’s of Education (one, two or three year B.Ed.) with major in Mathematics.
For the degree to be valid by T.U., it must be from T.U. or any other institutions accepted by T.U.
