Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (BE Electrical and Electronics)

Introduction

To begin with, electrical and electronics engineering is a course that deals with the technology of electricity. This is to say that this branch is specified towards the flow of electricity and is responsible for the mechanism of electronic stuffs and electricity as a whole. It includes the concept that focuses the students in dealing the devices to components, microchips to the large power stations.

Objectives of the course

“Electrical engineers design, develop, test and supervise the manufacturing of electrical equipment, such as electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems and power generation equipment, states the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. ” The major objectives of the course are mentioned below:

  • Develop an idea of renewable/ alternative use of energy such as therma, solar and so on among the students
  • Deal with the electricity, electronics, telecommunication and electromagnetism
  • Develop a concept about power installation, instrumentation, power circuit and so on
  • Make the students familiar with power plant equipnet, power plant analysis and protection
  • Set a concept on hydropower, engineering economics and management, electrical power utilization and so on.
  • Make the electrical engineering serve state and regional industries, government agencies or national and international industries.
  • Functioninse  professionally in one or more of the following areas: analog electronics, digital electronics, communication systems, signal processing, control systems, and computer-based systems.

Scope of electrical and electronics engineering

The major scope of electrical and electronics engineering are as follows as they have wider area of working because the graduates can  work in the fields like aerospace, automotive, energy, IT and telecommunications:

  • CAD Technician
  • Broadcast engineer
  • Acoustic consultant
  • Aerospace engineer
  • Control and instrumentation engineer
  • Nuclear engineer
  • System analyst
  • Electric engineer
  • Electronics engineer
  • Network engineer
