CEE Nepal Prep (“the App”) is built and maintained by Epitome Solutions, based in Nepal. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it. We believe in minimal data collection — we only store what the App needs to function.

1. Data We Collect

Account data

When you sign up (or use the app as a guest), we create an anonymous account. If you choose to register, we store your email address, display name, and target exam year. We do not collect your real name, phone number, or government ID.

Study data

Your practice attempts, mock test answers, spaced-repetition progress, bookmarks, streaks, and AI tutor conversations are stored to provide personalized study recommendations. This data is linked to your account and not shared with other users (except aggregated, anonymous leaderboard rankings).

Device & usage data

We collect basic analytics: app version, device type, and crash reports. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or any data unrelated to exam preparation.

2. How We Use Your Data

Provide personalized study plans and spaced-repetition scheduling
Calculate your readiness score and percentile estimates
Power the AI tutor (your questions are sent to our AI service; responses may be cached globally to improve speed for all users)
Display anonymous leaderboard rankings (opt-out available)
Improve app stability through crash reporting

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS, Singapore region) with row-level security — each user can only access their own data. All data transmission uses TLS encryption. Study data is also cached locally on your device for offline access.

4. Third-Party Services

Supabase — authentication and database hosting
DeepSeek — AI tutor responses (your questions are sent to generate answers; no personal data is included beyond the question text)
Google Sign-In — optional authentication (governed by Google’s privacy policy)

We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not display advertisements.

5. Your Rights

Access: View all your data within the App (Profile → Account)
Delete: Request complete account deletion from Settings → Account → Delete Account. All associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Export: Export your study history from the Account settings
Opt out: Opt out of leaderboards at any time from Settings

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is designed for students aged 16 and above preparing for medical entrance examinations. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

7. Data Retention

Active accounts: data retained as long as the account is active.
Inactive guest accounts: automatically purged after 90 days of inactivity.
Deleted accounts: all data permanently removed within 30 days of deletion request.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
